DR. K.T AJMAL graduated in UNANI Medicine from the University of Poona in 1992 with a second rank. He is the first one to qualify MOH in UAE. He had earlier completed his B.Sc Degree from the St Joseph's College Calicut. After a brief stint, first with private practice, and then as a government Unani medical officer in Kerala, he started the Calicut Unani Hospital & Research Centre.

At present Dr. Ajmal is the Chairman of Unani Science Academy, President of All Kerala Unani Medical Practitioners Association and Managing editor of AL HAKEEM UNANI MAGAZINE.


Dr. Ajmal also supervises the manufacturing and marketing of 190 Unani medicines of which the herbal antibiotic (cap - MEFSIL 500 mg) is very effective and unique.

Dr. Ajmal is the FIRST DEGREE HOLDER IN UNANI MEDICINE IN KERALA STATE and he is the first Unani Government medical officer in Kerala. His other interests includes Free lectures in UNANI, conducting Unani Medical camps and translating Unani books into Malayalam. He also conducts MEHFIL-E-TIB (Hakeem's get together) once in a month at Calicut Unani Hospital & Research Centre.
